Lakhimpur Kheri. Director Uttar Pradesh Medical Services Dr. AK Singh and Additional Director Lucknow Board Lucknow Major Dr. GS Bajpai held an important meeting regarding communicable diseases at CMO Camp Office. In which the works done in accordance with the instructions given by the government were reviewed. During this CMO Dr. Arunendra Kumar Tripathi, ACMO Dr. Ashwini Kumar, Deputy CMO Dr. Dhaniram Bhargava were also present.
During the review of Communicable Diseases and Dastak Abhiyan by Director Sanchari Dr. AK Singh, it was said that special Communicable Disease Control Fortnight and Dastak Abhiyan has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh Government to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Due to which people in rural areas are being made aware about dengue, malaria, filariasis and mosquito-borne diseases by health workers including ASHA and Anganwadi. Wide publicity is also being done regarding filariasis. The intention of the government behind organizing both the programs in a big way is very clear that all communicable diseases can be reduced like in previous years.
At the same time, he said that by reaching door-to-door through Dastak Abhiyan, Asha, Asha Sangini and Anganwadi workers are making common people aware about all communicable diseases. By which not only these diseases can be reduced but also the death rate due to them can be reduced.
During this, the Additional Director, Lucknow Board, Lucknow Major Dr. GS Bajpai said that anti-larva should be sprayed from village to village. Wherever there is excess water, along with the arrangement for its drainage, people should also be made aware about the dangerous mosquitoes like malaria and dengue that thrive in clean water. During this, all the officers and employees associated with the program including District Malaria Officer Shailendra Srivastava, Steno Kartikeya Mishra, Saurabh Shukla were present.
