The decreasing sex ratio of girls is a matter of concern
Lakhimpur Kheri. Signature campaign was organized under PCPNDT scheme on the occasion of National Girl Child Day activities to stop the declining sex ratio and to spread public awareness. Nodal Officer of the program Dr. BC Pant along with all Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ashwani Kumar and all ACMO and Deputy Chief Medical Officer and other officers participated in the signature campaign.
Nodal officer of the program, ACMO Dr. BC Pant said that on the occasion of Girl's Day, a signature campaign has been launched, this campaign is being run with the aim of stopping gender test as well as to stop the decreasing sex ratio and to spread public awareness. At present, according to HIMS, there are 932 girls per 1000 boys, which is very less. For the purpose of spreading public awareness, people will be made aware by running a campaign from January 18 to January 24 and doing different activities. During this, he made people aware about the PCPNDT Act and gave detailed information about the skill development of girls and their health education to prevent the decreasing sex ratio of girls. Told about saving daughter, educating daughter and curbing female foeticide. So that the falling sex ratio can be stopped and for more effective implementation of the PCPNDT Act, detailed information was also given about the informant scheme.
