Bus going from Haridwar to Ayodhya overturns in Kheri, 40 injured

Lakhimpur Kheri. The double-decker bus of Das Travels, which was going from Haridwar to Ayodhya with devotees, went out of control and overturned in a ditch near Sallia Bypass in Pasgwan area under Kheri district. There were 65 passengers in the bus. 40 passengers were injured in this incident. The condition of a woman is critical. On information, police and administrative staff reached the spot.
Pasgwan Kotwal Inderjit Singh said that at 4 am on Saturday morning, a travel bus met with an accident on Saliya bypass of Jabiganj outpost under Kotwali Pasgwan. After receiving information about this, he reached the spot with heavy police force and with the help of local people got the injured taken out. He told that this bus was going from Haridwar to Ayodhya with Ram devotees and went out of control on Saliya bypass and overturned in the ditch. Bus number WB 57B 7171 was carrying 65 passengers. About 40 people have been injured in this incident. Who were sent to CHC Pasgwan for first aid. Out of which 10 people have been referred to Shahjahanpur Medical College as their condition is serious.
Among these, the condition of one woman is said to be critical, who has been identified as Madhumita Kapat, wife of Bachchu Kapat, resident of village Panna police station, Atal district, West Mendanipur, West Bengal. The condition of all the remaining passengers is said to be fine. During this time, Dr. Avnis Kumar SDM Mohammadi, Arvind Kumar Verma, CO Mohammadi, Inderjit Singh SHO Pasgwan, Hemant Katiyar outpost incharge JB Ganj, Gedan Lal Diwan and other police officers and employees of the administration were seen ready on the spot.
