In which Sadar MLA Yogesh Verma participated as the chief guest. During this, District Panchayat President representative Dr. Narendra Singh, CMO Dr. Santosh Gupta, CMS Dr. IK Ramchandani were also present. The program started with a public awareness rally which was taken out through the main roads of the city. After which a seminar was organized in the Panchayat auditorium. During this period, officers and employees doing better work were also honoured.
During this, the chief guest of the program, Sadar MLA Yogesh Verma, said in his address that the double engine government of the state and the center is paying special attention to health. Health services are being continuously improved and along with making people aware about mental health, treatment facilities are also being provided by the government. So that mentally ill patients can get treatment facilities from village to village. The government has also made arrangements for free claims. He said that people should not do anything more than necessary. One should neither work nor think too much. By doing this, you may become mentally disturbed and after this its effect starts appearing on your body also, but if treatment is done on time, the patient can recover completely.
District Panchayat President representative Dr. Narendra Singh said that the government is working on health services very seriously. Today many schemes are being run for the general public and especially the poor. Due to which the general public is happy. The free treatment facility that people are getting under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He is no less than a boon for the poor.
During this, CMO Dr. Santosh Gupta said that the way the mental health team is reaching out to every village and treating the mentally ill patients across the district, today the awareness among the people regarding identification and treatment of mental diseases has increased at the rural level. Is. This is the reason why more patients are reaching the mental health camps organized at the CHC including the district hospital and free treatment and medicines are being provided to all.
Dr. Shikhar Bajpai said that there is a possibility of mental diseases in the elderly also. Therefore, it is important that if you see any kind of symptoms, get them treated immediately and give your time to the elderly. Be sure to sit with them and talk to them with affection. This is a good therapy to avoid mental diseases.
During this, psychiatrist Dr. Akhilesh Shukla while speaking said that the number of people dying from any kind of disease is large, but there are many reasons for the death of mental patients also. There are a big number that are important to know. Before that, it is also important to know what is the reason for the increase in mental patients in the present times! Regarding people who consume tobacco products and alcohol, he said that such people become victims of mental illnesses very quickly and later become victims of road accidents or suicide.
According to an estimate, more than 5 crore people are affecting themselves and their families by consuming alcohol and more than 5 crore people by consuming cannabis. At the same time, more than three crore people are in depression due to alcohol. 450 people are committing suicide every day, in 2022 alone 1.65 lakh people have committed suicide and more than 50 lakh people have tried to commit suicide. This is a big figure. These figures can be drastically reduced by spreading awareness among people and staying away from drugs. During this, Deputy CMO Dr. Pramod Verma and clinical psychologist Stuti Kakkar also expressed their views.
