Union Minister interacted with Tharu tribe women of self-help group
Lakhimpur Kheri, October 24. On Thursday, as per her scheduled tour program, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Government of India, Savitri Thakur, along with UP Institute of Design and Research President Kshipra Shukla, reached village Gobarola of Chandan Chowki, Tharu tribal area of Tehsil and Block Palia to interact with the women of self-help group at the residence of Mrs. Aarti Rana, where Tharu tribe girls in traditional attire welcomed and greeted her by showering flowers.
Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Government of India, Savitri Thakur interacted with the women of self-help group of tribal area and took information about the manufacture and marketing of Tharu handicraft products and saw the manufacture of Tharu handicraft product. She came to know how much income her group gets through these products. He said that he is feeling very happy to meet Tharu society. It is our good fortune to come and interact with you. Girls and women of Tharu region also have immense skills and expertise. Many efforts are being made by the government to make the tribes economically prosperous. He praised the program presented wholeheartedly.
Kshipra Shukla, President of Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design and Research, also expressed her meaningful views. Project Officer UK Singh informed in detail about the schemes being run in the program.
Entrepreneur women of tribal area, Project Officer UK Singh, DPO Bharat Prasad, Joint BDO, Inspector Chandan Chowki, Inspector in-charge Gauriphata, regional public representatives and new Gram Pradhan were present in the program.
Pregnant women were given baby shower and Annaprashan was done for babies
In the program, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Ministry, Government of India, Savitri Thakur, Chairperson, UP Institute of Design and Research, Shipra Shukla, along with five pregnant women were given nutrition kits and the baby shower program was organized by feeding kheer to three six-month-old babies.
This baby shower and Annaprashan program was organized by District Program Officer Bharat Prasad.
