Lakhimpur Kheri. On the occasion of "Doctors-Day", a vaccination awareness program was organized to prevent cervical cancer under the aegis of the Indian Medical Association. In the program, chief guest DM Durga Shakti Nagpal inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp along with CDO Abhishek Kumar, CMO Dr. Santosh Gupta, Medical College Principal Dr. Vani Gupta, CMS Dr. Jyoti Malhotra, Dr. RK Koli.

In the program, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal not only agreed to get her child vaccinated for cervical cancer, but also appealed to the people of the district to get vaccinated to prevent this serious disease.  He said that vaccine is a shield of protection, by adopting it we can protect the coming generations.

He said that IMA has taken a commendable initiative towards vaccination awareness to prevent cervical cancer. All schools are appealed to actively participate in it, so that both the health and future of the coming generation can be protected.

CDO Abhishek Kumar said that this is not just a matter of health, but of public awareness and responsibility. Vaccination is an effective measure to prevent cervical cancer.

He assured that information and awareness material related to vaccination will be distributed in all government and private schools.

Experts said, the sooner this vaccine is given, the more effective it is
The leading gynecologists of the district shared their views from the stage and gave important information regarding the prevention of cervical cancer. Female doctors told that the sooner this vaccine is given, the more effective it is, girls between 09 years to 14 years need to take 02 doses and women above 14 years up to 45 years need to take 03 doses. 

On this occasion, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal honored the talented students of the district who achieved success in prestigious examinations like Medical (NEET) and Engineering (IIT) with their hard work. IMA encouraged such promising students by giving them certificates of honor.

The program was covered by The Lord Show, whose digital version will be made available to everyone soon. This initiative of IMA has emerged as a strong example of honoring educational talents along with women's health. More than 150 listeners from the district were present in this program organized by the Indian Medical Association, which included doctors, health workers, students and common citizens.
