IMA Lakhimpur Kheri's New Executive Committee Takes Oath, Dr. Akhilesh Verma Becomes President

Lakhimpur Kheri. The new executive committee of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Lakhimpur Kheri branch was formed on Wednesday.  ​​At the oath-taking ceremony held on January 7, 2026, at Royal Paradise Lawn, the newly appointed president, Dr. Akhilesh Verma, and the entire executive committee were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Santosh Gupta and Dr. K.K. Mishra.

In the program, former president Dr. Akhilesh Khare shared his experiences during his tenure, emphasizing organizational unity and a spirit of service. In his address, the newly appointed president, Dr. Akhilesh Verma, stated that the safety of doctors is the top priority and that continuous efforts will be made to bridge the growing gap in doctor-patient relationships. He also clarified that the organization will work in coordination with the government and will constantly strive to provide maximum assistance to the general public.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Santosh Gupta congratulated the new executive committee and assured them that the government and administration will always stand by the doctors and provide all possible support. A large number of doctors were present at the program and congratulated the new team.

The program was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, and the organization's future action plan was also discussed.
