TGT Exam: DM and SP review exam preparations at Collectorate, issue instructions

TGT exam to be held on January 17 at 25 centers, 10,080 candidates to participate

Lakhimpur Kheri. The district administration has become fully alert regarding the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj's Assistant Teacher Trained Graduate Category (Male/Female) Preliminary Examination-2025.  Preparations have been finalized to conduct the examination, scheduled for January 17, in a fair, transparent, and peaceful manner.


In this regard, on Tuesday, at the Atal Auditorium in the Collectorate, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal, along with SP Sankalp Sharma, reviewed the examination arrangements and gave strict and clear instructions to the officials.


Presiding over the meeting, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal clearly stated that the responsibility related to the examination is an extremely sensitive task, and even the slightest lapse at any level will be considered inexcusable. The DM instructed the Static Magistrates, Sector Magistrates, Center Superintendents, and Assistant Center Superintendents to thoroughly check all arrangements before the examination. She said that arrangements such as CCTV cameras in every examination room, thorough frisking of candidates, and seating arrangements according to the seating plan must be ensured.

Rehearsal and adherence to guidelines are essential: DM
The DM told the officials to carefully read the examination guidelines so that the possibility of any error is zero. Checking the ID of every candidate will be mandatory, and even a single violation of the examination rules can bring the entire process under suspicion. All officers should inspect the centers as a rehearsal and immediately rectify any shortcomings. The fairness and transparency of the examination are our top priority.


SP Sankalp Sharma said that the police will be fully vigilant during the examination. A special cell has been activated. Sufficient police force will be deployed at every examination center. He warned the officials that negligence at any level will not be tolerated.


Exam in two shifts, every candidate will be monitored

The TGT preliminary examination will be held in two shifts on January 17.  The first shift will run from 9 AM to 11 AM and the second shift from 3 PM to 5 PM. A total of 25 examination centers have been set up in the district.  Exams will be held at 14 centers in the first shift and 11 centers in the second shift. 5,472 candidates will appear in the first shift and 4,608 in the second shift. A total of 10,080 candidates will be taking the exam, and the administration will be keeping a close watch on them.

Officials briefed on examination procedures

At the beginning of the meeting, ADM Narendra Bahadur Singh and Anil Kumar Rastogi provided information on the examination structure, timetable, and the commission's instructions. They explained the responsibilities of the officers during the examination and instructed them to strictly follow the commission's guidelines.  Ajit Katiyar, the coordinating supervisor appointed by the commission, explained the technical details and procedural guidelines related to the examination. He addressed the questions of the officers present, providing precise and comprehensive answers to resolve their doubts.  DIOS Vinod Kumar Mishra, all sector and static magistrates, and center superintendents were present at the meeting.
