Lakhimpur-Kheeri. Peer Educate Program is being run to provide all health related counseling and treatment to the physical, mental and emotional changes taking place in adolescent boys and girls. Under which five-day training has been given to the selected BCPMs and ANMs of the blocks. Certificates were also distributed to everyone at the conclusion of the training late on Friday evening.
District Coordinator of National Adolescent Health Program, Sachin Gupta said that under the National Adolescent Health Program, Peer Educator Program is also being run for all the health related counseling and treatment of adolescents and girls. This program is currently being run in seven selected blocks. Which include Behjam, Bijua, Isanagar, Kumbhi, Fardhan, Phulbehad and Ramiyabehad.
In the training program, CMO Dr. Santosh Gupta explained the topics related to the program in detail to the trainers and also answered related questions. He explained how to prepare boys and girls for the mental and emotional changes that occur in the body during adolescence, as well as other points like increase in drug addiction, violence, peer pressure, leadership skills, importance of education, right age of marriage, gender-based violence. But was also explained in detail. In the training program, ACMO Dr. Anil Kumar Gupta, ACMO Dr. Satya Prakash Mishra, District Training Officer Dr. Pramod Verma, Master Trainer Superintendent Nakaha Dr. Ramu Singh and Consultant Adolescent Health Sachin Gupta along with Block Coordinator Adolescent Health Shweta Singh gave training to all the trainees so that they could improve their skills. Can do better work in the area as per the program and the intention of the government.
